Alacer Group’s Nyron Davidson Recognized by ACFCS for Assistance in Developing First Financial Crime Certification Exam

New ACFCS exam certifies financial industry specialists in anti-money laundering, tax evasion, corruption, fraud and security

Bellevue, WA – August 20, 2013 – The Alacer Group, dedicated to helping business leaders accelerate performance, quality, productivity and profitability, today announced that senior consultant Nyron Davidson has been recognized by the Association of Certified Financial Crime Specialists (ACFCS) for helping to create the industry’s first financial crime certification examination.

Since mid-2012, Davidson has served as a member of the ACFCS Certification Task Force that developed the groundwork for a certification program for public and private personnel in financial crime disciplines.  These include areas such as anti-money laundering (AML), FATCA tax evasion, FCPA corruption, fraud, data analytics and security.  ACFCS formally recognized Davidson for his contribution to the development of the new exam earlier this year.

“Nyron’s expertise in AML and financial regulatory and security issues has proven invaluable for Alacer’s clients,” said Richard Paxton, CEO of the Alacer Group.  “Now, thanks to his dedication to the industry and his willingness to assist a professional organization such as ACFCS, others can benefit from advanced training in the detection of financial crime.  It’s an activity that will have a beneficial effect for years to come.”

ACFCS is a worldwide organization for those working in financial security, compliance, regulation and enforcement disciplines.  It awards the CFCS certification to qualified candidates who pass a proctored examination offered at authorized testing centers.  Additionally, it offers the entire financial crime community an array of information and training products and services.
